What is needed for our system to work on your chair:

Simply put, all that is needed is something for the clamp to grip with sufficient area to support the system. The clamp must be able to grip in one of 3 ways:

1. Grip at the front and back of the clamp arm (Square type arm) as seen here

 or

2.  Grip in the middle of the support (Post type arm) as seen here.

As far as grip and overall function is concerned, both of these arms are useable, however, there are a few issues that should be realized if you plan on using a post-style arm chair:

  •  Some post arm style chairs require the armrests be removed due to their shape and/or size. We will soon be offering a replacement armrest pad that fits on the rail system. Check the Order Page periodically.

  • Some lower cost post arm chairs are not as sturdy a mount as the square arm. Because the arm itself is usually cheaply made, it is somewhat flexible. This may cause the keyboard to bounce when typing. For most users this shouldn't be more than a nuisance, but if it something you don't want to live with, consider a square-style arm chair or a higher cost post arm chair.

And Now:

3. I now have a mount available for the C-Style arm (as seen here) as well. This now allows all CommandCon systems to attach to all standard types of office chair style arms available today.
